Appalachian Trail program set for April 27th

The Appalachian Trail in Massachusetts?  Is it part of that famous trail from Georgia to Maine? You bet it is–and it’s right here in the Berkshires!  Want to learn more about it, how it came to be, how it makes it way through the Berkshires, the people who maintain it, the people that hike it, some of the interesting spots along its way?

Then come join the Great Barrington Historical Society for a fun evening with Jim Pelletier, Chair of the Massachusetts Appalachian Trail Management Committee. Jim will take us on a grand tour of the National Scenic Trail that’s right in our own back yards.  Mark your calendars now for Thursday, April 27th (new date!) at 7pm at the Senior Center, 917 South Main Street (Route 7), Great Barrington.

Admission is free. Please call 413-591-8902 or email info@gbhistory.org for more information.
