Bernard A. Drew, distinguished local historian, author, and friend of the GB Historical Society, wrote a new book entitled Great Barrington: Here and Gone, a comprehensive and fascinating study of the structures and sites that are no longer with us.
He was delighted to sign lots of copies at the Book Signing on Saturday, October 16th from 12 noon to 2 pm at the Museum’s newly opened Wagon House. Admission was free and refreshments were served.
Copies will also be available on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm at the GBHS Museum at 817 S. Main St (Route 7). Published and sponsored by the Great Barrington Historical Society, the book is priced at only $29.95.
Bernie Drew was born in New Hampshire, grew up in Windsor, Mass., and has lived in Great Barrington since 1977. A recipient of the 2010 Du Bois Center of Great Barrington Pioneer Award for Local History, he has written 16 hardcover books and 40 softbound books in the fields of popular literature and Berkshire local history.
