On a rainy Saturday in May, three intrepid Great Barrington Historical Society volunteers installed a 3-rail split rail locust wood fence to separate the newly constructed parking area from the Farmstead lawn.
The fence was purchased by GBHS member and local historian James Parrish, and he, Robert Parrish, and Tom Warner installed it. On the first sunny day, here’s what it looked like:
Now that parking onsite is even easier. consider a visit to the Great Barrington Historical Society Museum at the Truman Wheeler Farmstead, 817 South Main Street (Route 7), Great Barrington.
