As you are probably aware, the main floor of the Dutch Wagon House and privy addition were completed last year, in time for our wonderful Christmas display.
But very few people have seen or realize that the Wagon House has a second floor, complete with horsehair plaster from the 1700’s! This area originally could have been used as sleeping quarters for drovers or farmhands.
When finished, this area will be used for light storage. Access to this area was very limited until a small door was installed, connecting it to the second floor of the main house. The floors will be insulated and covered for ease of walking and storage.
