While doing your holiday shopping, don’t forget to visit The Great Barrington Historical Society Museum, which has a wonderful gift shop full of beautiful, unique items, many homemade.

Beautifully crafted handmade items for everyone on your list!

Come in and enjoy our four room exhibit called An Old Fashioned Christmas as you trace the history and traditions of the holiday. And take a look at our many gift ideas – hand-crafted treasures as well as books, peppermint pigs, pickle ornaments, and delicious sugarplums. We’re open every Friday and Saturday evening in December from 4 pm to 8 pm as well as Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm. The exhibit is open through Sunday, January 10, 2021. Admission is free!

The GBHS Town Museum was the first organization to get the GB S.A.F.E. seal.

The Museum is a GB SAFE contact-free environment. Masks and hand sanitizing are required, and social distancing and limitations on the number of visitors will be strictly observed.

We’re located at the Wheeler Farmstead, 817 South Main Street (Route 7), Great Barrington–a few blocks south of the Fairgrounds and across the road from the V.F.W. For more information, please call 413-591-8702 or email us at info@gbhistory.org.
