Businesses gone but not forgotten – program & exhibit

with No Comments

With all the change that’s been going on in Great Barrington, it’s time to take a look back to earlier times with the upcoming Great Barrington Historical Society program and exhibit: Businesses in Barrington, Gone but not Forgotten.

The program is scheduled for Wednesday, September 26th at 7 pm at the Claire Teague Senior Center on South Main Street (Route 7) in Great Barrington. Speakers are Mike Fitzpatrick and Jane Green. These businesses may be gone, but they live on in our memories. All merchants who owned an establishment in Great Barrington or Housatonic at one time are invited to come in and share their stories. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. For more info, call 413-591-8702 or email us at info@gbhistory.org.

The exhibit will open at the GBHS Museum at the Wheeler Farmstead in mid-September (exact date to be determined) and last for about a month. More information will be available shortly.
