For a crafts person, October means thoughts of the upcoming holidays. If you enjoy making or giving handcrafted or homemade gifts to give to your friends and family, the GBHS would like to feature you and your items this holiday season in our Museum gift area. As a historical society, the GBHS honors and encourages the craftsmen and craftswomen who pursue and exhibit traditional and historical handcrafting skills.
Do you make the best jams and jellies or piccalilli? Would you consider donating and item or more to the Society to place in our holiday gift shop? We’re looking to stock our shelves beginning in November. Doreen Atwood is our “Holiday Coordinator.”
These Include (but are not limited to) wooden items, photography, prints, note cards, pot holders, aprons, placemats, quilts, mittens, socks, scarves, hats, candles, table centerpieces, breadboards, ceramics/pottery, grapevine wreaths, soaps, toys, games, stuffed animals, dolls, and much more.
By donating your quality items and talents to the Society, you’ll be supporting our programs and exhibits. Your work can be accompanied by your card in order to promote your craft business. All items will be reviewed for appropriateness. Please contact Doreen for additional details at 413-691-8702, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Don’t forget–we also accept donations of old Christmas decorations in good condition!
